Look Around You for Retro Gaming
Posted by Matt Little , May, 2009 @ 8:28 amEqual parts brilliant and super-brilliant, Britain’s Look Around You is one of my favorite comedy exports from across the giant-pond-that-is-actually-an-ocean. The first season was a parody of old educational filmstrips that used to be shown in schools, while the second season expanded the running time to 30 minutes, and refocused the show as a parody of old children’s educational TV programming. Everything on the show seems to take place in a universe where it’s 1981 forever. Also, it’s VERY, VERY dry. You may need a glass of water after watching the following video, where they cover computer gaming of the early 80s:
